Hot New Mobile Apps

Here’s a brief of the hot new mobile apps and updates.
Drop Box releases version 1.0 of their file syncing software. This is not strictly a mobile app. It will allow you to sync files from multiple computers, either Windows or Mac, and access those files on Blackberry, iOS, and Android phones as well. Simply install the app onto your phone or computer it creates a folder that you and drag items into, which will be synced with all computers, phones, and the cloud.
Word Lens is a brand new iPhone app that uses the camera to translate text. Take a snap shot of any sign or printed text and the app will translate it on the spot. The app is free to download, but you have to pay $4.99 for each language to language translation. For example, it’s $4.99 to translate English to Spanish and another $4.99 to go from Spanish to English. It should be noted this is an imperfect product at this time.
Google Maps came out with a brand new games blackberry update for Android phones that adds some cool features. Version 5.0 now includes 3D landscapes, allowing you to navigate through Downtown Cincinnati with 3D models of the buildings, similar to Google Earth. The Kindle app for Android also got updated to version 2.0 today. This version offers access the Amazon’s http://www.androidsentral.com/category/aplikasi library of newspapers and magazines. The ability to purchase content from the app is also new. It also adds social networking content updates, zoom of images and graphics, and allows the volume button to be used as a page turner.
